Summary
In this chapter we covered several aspects of the profiling technology offered by WEF.
We explained in detail how profiling works, at the same time we defined the key profiling terms used in WEF.
We also covered profile selection handlers and all the aspects of the profile set editor.
Together we built a sample model to demonstrate how a portlet can be profile-enabled not only to generate a different version of your portlet but also to learn how to expose the defined profiles in portal.
Lastly, we learned about role-based profiling in IBM WebSphere Portal.
The topics covered in this chapter do not exhaust the profiling capabilities of WEF, but the material you have read here provides a solid foundation upon which you can build and learn more advanced profiling features of WEF.
