Text tools

The Text Tools allow you to add text to your documents. The Text options depend on whether you are using Artistic text or Frame text.

The Artistic Text Tool

The Artistic Text Tool (shortcut t) is designed and best used for smaller amounts of text (just a few words) or decorative text for short headlines or titles. The icon for this tool is shown here:

If you want to apply text to a curve, the Path Text tool is the one to use.

With the Artistic Text Tool selected, the following options are available in the Context Toolbar:

Section 1 starts out with the Font Name dropdown. This will list all of the fonts you have available to access. Next, we have the Font Weight dropdown and a numerical Size input with a drop-down slider. Icon group a is Bold, Italic, and Underline options, followed by a color swatch...
