Summary

We should now have a solid understanding of how to troubleshoot issues dealing with connectivity to and visibility of vSphere Storage. We covered Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS, the three most common storage transports utilized by vSphere. We went through some of the common and not-so-common issues that could affect visibility to our storage, such as vCenter Server storage filters, disk resignatures, CHAP authentication, and NFS ACLs, as well as how to identify and troubleshoot storage visibility issues using the logs that ESXi provides.

In the next chapter, we will go over how to spot and resolve issues we commonly see that relate to storage contention.
