The Explorer perspective
The Explorer perspective provides an interface to declare applications, pages, and controls that are required to interact as part of a business process automation.
We can use this perspective for the following:
- Defining applications foremost that are involved in the scope for automation.
- Performing screen captures and the controls within the page and defining the criteria to uniquely identify them at runtime. The applications, pages, and controls captured and declared in this perspective will be used in the Workflow perspective to create a sequence of actions that completes a business process.
- Defining the criteria by highlighting any potential conflicts in the identification of a page or control. For example, more than one control may be of the same type, so we can make the criteria unique by adding a label or control ID as part of the criteria.
