Looking back at what we've learned

By now, you should be familiar with Puppet reporting features and how they fit in with the wider Puppet product. However, it's worth recapping what we've learned, and while we recap, we will look at other ways of using these features. We've covered the basics of configuration and data retrieval in this book, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. With a little imagination and creative use of both the report processors and PuppetDB features, you can start to use Puppet in ways you may not have considered, not only to uncover details about your infrastructure you may not have been aware of, but also to drive change within it.
