As OpenStack continues to mature, so do the cloud installations of enterprises that have committed to the technology. Because OpenStack is a truly open platform, its use cases are only limited to the imaginations of those who decide to make it their cloud operating system. However, there are a few OpenStack use cases that have emerged as leaders in the enterprise adoption. These prominent use cases include web scale clouds improving DevOps functions, Big Data, Storage, NFV, and simple IT-as-a-Service.
