Configuring Auto Attendants and Call Queues
Before creating a call queue or auto attendant, some steps need to be done to make the process simpler. You will look at those steps first.
Preparing for Call Queues and Auto Attendants
Before you can use call queues and auto attendants, you must first follow these steps:
- You must have purchased or transferred the phone numbers to be used with each.
- You will then need a resource account created for each of the lines (both queues and auto attendants). A resource account can be assigned to more than one service number if needed.
- Each resource account for call queues and auto attendants must be assigned a Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account license, and each user who will receive calls from a call queue must have a Calling Plan license.
- Next, you will specify the holidays (Microsoft Teams admin center | Voice | Holidays) that your auto attendants should be aware of for off-hour call handling. For example, if your...
