Summary
By doing things such as editing our account and audience settings, we’ve set a solid foundation for actually building out our lists. It gives us some insight into the inherent benefits of choosing the number of lists we’d like to use and other neat fringe benefits that allow us to plan a little.
Specifically, in this chapter, we learned things such as what basic information we need to have set up in an account for compliance purposes, and how to ensure that data from the platform is as usable and relevant as possible as we scale. We also learned what an audience is and what purpose it serves in the entire Mailchimp ecosystem, as well as how to edit the settings of your first list to best serve you. Finally, we learned the impact of maintaining one list versus multiple lists, ensuring that you can make an informed decision about your billing and data utilization that makes the most sense for your business.
