Creating an Azure Front Door instance

Now, we will create an instance of Front Door and check how we can route and monitor traffic. In order to monitor and manage the global routing for web traffic with Azure Front Door, follow these instructions. You can create an Azure Front Door instance from the Azure portal by searching for it in the Marketplace, as follows:

The routing model of Azure Front Door consists of three levels:

  • Frontend hosts
  • Backend pools
  • Routing rules

They can all be configured either during the Front Door instance's creation or once it has been provisioned and is ready. Here, you can find an example configuration of Front Door, which allows me to connect to my blog through it:
