Summary
The storage ecosystem in AWS is really a remarkably interesting section of AWS cloud computing. We have spent time defining the different types of storage techniques and the technologies in AWS. We talked about Amazon S3 being object storage that can be used to store any amount of data. We talked about EBS volume, which is block storage and works closely with EC2 instances for storing information. We also looked at key metrics to watch out for in an EBS volume. We also mentioned EFS, FSx, and large-scale storage, and covered configurations and key metrics relating to these services that should be monitored for better performance and cost effectiveness.
In the next chapter, we will be looking at monitoring as it is associated with network services in AWS. We will look at the different networking services in AWS and how CloudWatch integrates with all of them.
