Business transactions in SAP CRM

SAP CRM's core functions are marketing, sales, and service. This chapter is focused on sales and the functions that are required to create sales quotations and sales orders successfully to process the whole order to cash cycle.

Figure 6.2 shows the high-level business processes in the areas of marketing, sales, and service in SAP CRM:

Lead generation and opportunity creation are pre-sales processes, followed by the sales quotation, sales contract, and sales orders creation processes.

Once the product is shipped out to the customer, the customer may call back due to any product-related issues pertaining to quality, damage, being short shipped, and so on, to create a complaint.
