Transportation planning
In the previous chapter, we covered transportation management architecture and transportation requirements. This chapter covers the key aspects of transportation planning, which, in turn, maximizes logistics activity and brings profit to the organization. In transportation planning, two business documents are created – a freight unit and a freight order. Before these business documents are created, several constraints, including capacities, are considered with a view to optimizing the shipment processing process.
