Volumes of data
Upon starting to gather the data that constitutes the voice of the customer, one quickly notices that volumes of data start to accumulate. Even for a small business, there is a lot of data that is entailed in the voice of the customer.
Typically there are three places that data starts to accumulate. The first place is standard disk storage. Standard disk storage is a convenient place to look at data that is found on the immediate basis. Looking at this week’s voice of the customer or even this month’s voice of the customer may be satisfactory when the data is stored on standard disk storage. But when you start to look at the voice of the customer over a lengthy period of time, standard disk storage is soon over run.
