Summary
In this chapter, we have looked at tooling within the DevOps toolchain. We have looked at the different families of DevOps tooling and looked at how tooling helps the adoption of DevOps in your organization. We then looked at the benefits of DevOps tooling and looked to understand the obstacles that may prevent the adoption of good-quality tools.
Next, we will look at how to develop a strategy for the implementation of tooling. We will look at the architectural and security requirements for your tooling and how to develop training plans to help the team, and tie this in with defining owners and processes for DevOps tools.
