Breaking down silos in your organization

In DevOps, culture is brought about by the need to break down silos in your organization between certain teams. Silo mentality is behavior-driven and can be resolved using a number of techniques. A silo exists when teams operate independently and often have a crossover of their activities or lack of consideration for others' work.

The danger of silos in the business world is that trust is destroyed, communication is cut off, and complacency starts to set into what you do day to day. Teams that are siloed cannot react to change quickly or take advantage of opportunities that present themselves.

Worst of all is transparency, when data cannot be shared between teams freely, which impacts your ability to make data-driven decisions about your team or business. Some of the things we are about to discuss we have touched upon before:
