Changing the screen mode
When you are working in InDesign, there are a number of different screen modes you can use to control what you see on the screen. For example, when you are laying out documents, you want to see frame edges, guides, and grids as it makes the process easier. Sometimes, though, you want to take a step back and hide all of these and get a better feel for how your final document will look, and switching modes can help you achieve this in a single click.
In this recipe, we are going to look at how to change the screen mode in order to ensure you work as efficiently as possible.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and open a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe. It is also beneficial to add two or three text frames to the page, as shown in Chapter 2, Working with Text in InDesign.
