Summary
In this chapter, you mainly learned how to use curl and Python to interact with the Datadog platform using Datadog APIs. Also, we looked at major categories of APIs provided by Datadog. The important thing to remember here is that almost anything you can do on the Datadog UI can be performed programmatically using an appropriate API.
We will continue looking at the Datadog integration options and in the next chapter, you will learn specifically about some important monitoring standards that are implemented by all major monitoring applications, including Datadog.
