HACK – A tag that is used in comments to indicate that a particular section of code is a workaround and that this code needs to be rewritten in the future.

Hard drive – An electromechanical data storage device that uses rapidly rotating platters coated with magnetic material. It can be used to store and retrieve digital data.

Hardware – The machine and physical components that make up a computer or other electronic systems.

Hexadecimal – A numbering system that works in base 16 – that is, it uses 16 digits to represent numbers. It uses the digits 0–9, followed by the letters A–F, with A being 10 and F being 15.
