Adding audio to your website
Unlike video files, which must be externally, you can audio files to Squarespace and embed them into your pages using an Audio Block. Squarespace has a built-in audio player that allow visitors to play the audio within the page, as shown in the following screenshot:

Alternately, if you use Soundcloud to host your audio files, you can also embed tracks, playlists, or profiles from Soundcloud. In addition, Squarespace supports the iTunes podcasting attributes, so you can use your blog for podcasting as well.
Using the Audio Block
Before you upload your audio file, first make that the file adheres to following guidelines to ensure the best performance across all browsers and devices:
- Format:
.mp3
- File size: Less than 160 MB
- Bit depth: 16 bits
- Bitrate: 128 Kbps max (96 Kbps recommended for the spoken word)
- Channels: Mono or stereo

If your file is more than 160 MB, you can still embed the file but you will need to host it elsewhere. Refer to the Link to an External...
