This lab emulates what happens when a single container fails in production and the ability of retries to allow dependent services to continue functioning with little to no impact. As a treat, we’ll also introduce Gitpod, which is a containerized development workspace that makes development fast and simple and, more importantly, demonstrates just how powerful containers are.

Leveraging Gitpod – a containerized workspace

In celebration of our love of all things containerized, we will be introducing a new tool, Gitpod. This workspace tool embeds an open source version of Visual Studio Code along with pre-installed tools, such as a Golang compiler, and provides you rapid access to git repositories, including integrations for GitHub and GitLab.
