Creating and publishing items to Marketplace

Items that are published to Azure Stack Hub Marketplace use the Azure Gallery Package format. The Azure Gallery Packager tool allows you to create a custom Azure Gallery package that can be uploaded to the Azure Stack Hub Marketplace for download by your users.

As an Azure Stack Hub operator, you can add your own custom VM images to Marketplace and make them available for download by your users. You can add the custom VM images to Azure Stack Hub Marketplace through the administrator portal or via PowerShell.

You have two options for enabling users to use an image:

  • Offer the image through Azure Stack Hub Marketplace.

We have already covered ARM templates in Chapter 8, Working with Offers, Plans, and Quotas, of this book, so for this chapter, we will look at the ability to offer the image through Azure Stack Hub Marketplace.

Once an image has been added through the admin portal...
