Summary
In this chapter, we started by exploring the Mesh tool, focusing on developing a terrain with slopes, but also learned how to import surveyor data and how to properly integrate the terrain with the foundations of the building.
In the next section, we learned about two plugins to automate some complex structures: TrussMaker turned 2D Lines into a 3D Truss, with complete control over profiles, while RoofMaker added the Roof Structure Elements to already created Roofs, with the Roof Wizard turning this into a one-click operation of all rafters, hips and valleys, purlins, and trimmers.
Next up, we will learn how to use Parametric Profiles to further expand our modeling skills, and we will see how we can use the Renovation tool, introducing the use of data in Archicad BIM.
