Moving to unconscious competence
When learning something new, there are different stages of competencies that we go through.
Martin M. Broadwell, the management trainer, described the different stages as the four levels of teaching in February 1969, in his paper Teaching For Learning (XVI) (https://edbatista.typepad.com/files/teaching-for-learning-martin-broadwell-1969-conscious-competence-model.pdf).
The first stage is not knowing what you do not know. This stage is called unconscious incompetence.
