Making your first brush
Now that we have enough information to get started, let’s make our first brush. The type of brush we will make is called a Bokeh brush. Bokeh is the process of using light and shapes to add some drama and flare to an edited photo (there is a more technical definition, but in reality, that is all they are doing). Examples of before and after using the Bokeh effect can be seen in the following figure:

Notice that the effect involves adding circles over various opacities and hues. The blend mode has been changed to make it appear as if it is translucent. Notice that in making this brush, the techniques we are going to use include the following:
- Brush shape
- Accumulation Jitter
- Luminosity Jitter
- Spacing
- Blend modes
- Scatter X
- Scatter Y
