Monitoring Data Pump job status
As we have seen earlier, the Data Pump export and import client utilities can be easily attached to a job that is currently running or stopped in either logging mode or interactive-command mode.
In the logging mode, a real-time detailed status about the job is automatically displayed during the execution of the job. The information displayed can include all or something of the following: job and parameter descriptions, an estimate of the amount of data to be processed, a description of the current operation or item being processed, the files used during the job, any errors encountered, and the final job state (Stopped or Completed).
In interactive-command mode, the job status can be displayed only by request by using the STATUS
command. The information displayed can include the job description and state, a description of the current operation or item being processed, files being written, and a cumulative status of the job.
