Creating certificates for NetScaler^®

In this section, we will be working on how to create a certificate for NetScaler. Later, that certificate can be used for the StoreFront services. The following are the steps:

1. In order to create the certificate, go to the NetScaler management console and expand Traffic Management and click on SSL:

   

2. From SSL Keys, click on Create RSA Key:

   

3. It will give you a form to fill up. Enter the details like this:

   • Request file name: StoreFront.key

   • Key size: 2048

   • Public exponent value: F4

   • Key Format

   • PEM Encoding Algorithm

   • PEM Passphrase and Confirm PEM Passphrase

4. And after this, click on Create. The next step will be to create a certificate signing request. Enter the following information:

   • Request file name: StoreFrontCert.txt

   • Key File name: Browse the key file you created

   • PEM Passphrase (For Encrypted Key): Enter the password which was created in the last step

   • Distinguished name: In this section, you have to mention the details of the location, common name, organization name...
