Chapter 11. Database, UserExit Scripts, and Web Services
In the previous chapter, we have learned techniques and tools to validate the image in terms of quality, performance, missing drivers, and finalization. We have also shown ways to automate these tests.
In this chapter, we will show the ability to web front-end the MDT implementation as well as how to utilize the configuration database capabilities of MDT for deeper deployment options. Also, we'll discuss UserExit scripts. We'll get into the whys and hows, what options are available, and when to use these UserExit scripts, by covering the following types:
- Database and the flexibility it brings
- Custom UserExit scripts
- Web services available for use
