Improvements in user privacy
With iOS 14, Apple is giving users more control over their privacy and personal data in different ways:
- The App Store will show the privacy practices of every app, so the user will be able to check them before downloading the app.
- When an app is using the camera or the microphone, an indicator will appear in the top-right corner of the phone indicating it. The Control Center will keep a history of which apps have used them recently.
- Apps can offer users to keep the account they already have but integrate it with Sign in with Apple.
- Approximate Location is a new option for location services that gives a less accurate location for apps that shouldn't need your exact location.
- Limited Photos library access: users can now grant access to selected photos only instead of to the entire library.
