Microsoft Teams integration

In October 2023, Microsoft released a new version of Microsoft Teams, which included many improvements over the previous version. The new version of Teams brought many enhancements to the VDI version. For a full list of supported features, please visit https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/virtual-desktop/teams-supported-features.

To use the latest version of Teams with FSLogix, we must ensure that we are using FSLogix 2210 Update 4 as the minimum version, which is 2.9.8884.27471.

The reason for this change is that the new version of Teams stores the user/data cache in the %LocalAppData%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache folder, which was not previously persisted in the FSLogix profile prior to FSLogix Hotfix 3.

The following folders are recommended to be excluded from the user profile for the newer version of Teams to save disk space inside the user FSLogix profile:
