Setting up an audience
Audiences are the beating heart of your marketing efforts, regardless of what platform you use. This is whether you’re thinking about the traditional definition of an audience, meaning who you are writing or designing for or talking to, or the more tangible definition, namely a literal list of people you are intending to interact with to cultivate a relationship or connection.
The purpose behind having an audience is ultimately the same though. They’re who you’re trying to engage. They’re the folks against which you’re measuring the success or failure of your efforts.
