Dynamic pages


Minds tend to change, so business requirements do too. If you hardcode text in your pages, it's likely that you'll be asked to revise that text at some point in the future. While this is great for your job security, it's not that great for your sanity. We'd much rather spend our time working on solving complex problems than tweaking text over and over. We hope you feel the same way, so we're now going to cover the ways in which you can make your pages more dynamic and even allow your business users or system administrators to modify how their pages are rendered.

Creating a custom label

The simplest way to introduce dynamic text into your Visualforce pages is through the use of labels. Labels are snippets of text that are managed from inside the setup console. This allows your system administrators to control the verbiage of text that is changed often without the need to modify your actual markup.
