Packing
The packing process is a part of delivery and shipment; you can execute the packing process from the delivery document. The items selected for packing can be assigned to the HU while packing.
Packing can be single-level or multi-level packing. Packing materials can be a box, carton, pallet, or container. Here are some of the different key functions that are available when packing with the SAP system:
- Packing delivery items in HUs and allocating individual items to several HUs
- Multi-level packing
- Unpacking items that were already packed
- Responses to exceeding weight or volume
- Deleting HUs
- Emptying HUs
- HU single entry
- Changing packing quantities
- Creating delivery items from HUs
- Displaying allowed packaging materials
- Checking for allowed packaging materials
- Packing proposals in sales orders and scheduling agreements
