Adam Bien is a Java freelancer with a deep admiration of simplicity and lean methodologies, and an astonishing pedigree: a Java Champion, JavaOne Rockstar, NetBeans Dream Team founding member, and 2010 Java Developer of the Year. Adam's been working with Java and its development community since version 1.0. As well as writing books and articles, Adam organizes the "airhacks" Java workshop three times a year in Munich, which he has also turned into a podcast series at airhacks.fm. Geertjan Wielenga is a developer advocate who promotes Java and JavaScript as a speaker, writer, and trainer. He graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal with a degree in social science and a postgraduate degree in law. Geertjan has worked in Austria, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands for firms including Sun Microsystems and Oracle.
