Importing text styles
Importing text styles is a useful feature in InDesign, allowing you to both save time and ensure consistency across documents. You can import paragraph styles, character styles, or both into a document and easily manage any conflicts in name with any existing styles that already exist. In this recipe, we will look at all of this and even cover useful tricks for setting default styles that will automatically appear in all your new documents going forward.
Getting ready
In order to complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. You should be comfortable creating and applying paragraph styles as shown in the Creating paragraph styles recipe.
