Creating parents from pages and importing parents
When working with parent pages, you might want to turn existing pages into parents so you can reuse them on multiple pages and maintain elements in one central place, or even make use of parent pages you created previously in other documents by importing them into your current document. In this recipe, we will look at how to do both of these, saving you from having to create new parents from scratch every time.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1.
