Inserting and creating tables
Tables can be a useful feature in your designs for presenting content in a way that is very quick and easy to interpret, allowing readers to analyze and compare data easily. In this recipe, we are going to look at both adding a blank table to an existing text frame, as well as how to create a table straight on the page within a dedicated frame. You will choose this frame depending on whether your table is free-standing or mixed in with the document’s existing text.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1, Customizing the InDesign Interface and New Document Settings.
