Creating and using hyperlinks
Hyperlinks are a useful tool for making your documents more interactive, allowing you to link to content either within the page or externally, create (but not send) a new email, or jump straight through to a particular page in the document.
In this recipe, we will look at how to use hyperlinks to link to an external website, trigger a new email, and enhance your document navigation, looking at the appearance settings and even using character styles to standardize the look and feel of your links.
Getting ready
In order to complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe of Chapter 1.
How to do it…
