At this point, the IT strategy should be clear, and the corresponding mission embraced. So, what’s next? It’s time to think about how to corral the troops. It’s beyond 2020 and we do Agile development. We just don’t want to dive in. I can assure you that you will want to conform to a clear Agile manifesto for your company. Senior business leaders have not yet drunk the Agile Kool-Aid. They set a budget and expectations and then want to know when it’s done.

We suggest that you build 20% slack into your waterfall execution plan and create the OKRs for your teams with the business but without that extra 20%.
