Exporting the final shot
In this last section, we will learn how to effectively export our image sequence. We have already set everything we need. The only thing we need to do is to launch the rendering job.
To do that, we have two choices (see Figure 13.38):
- Render (Local): This means that the rendering process occurs on the same machine where Unreal Engine is running. In other words, if you want to quickly start the rendering job, the Render (Local) button will launch the rendering job using local resources.
- Render (Remote): This means that the rendering process can utilize remote rendering resources. Remote rendering is a practice very common in offline rendering pipelines when any frames usually take a lot of time to be rendered. In these cases, we can take advantage of the power of multiple machines to shorten the rendering time. The Render (Remote) button allows us to use (if available) the same techniques during Unreal Engine 5’s rendering process.
