Facilitate Looker exploration with Looker Marketplace applications

The Looker Marketplace is a place where you can find different applications, plugins, additional visualizations, and other pre-built Looker elements. For example, you can find there a Calendar Heatmap visualization, which is not available in Looker by default. You can also find the Google Analytics LookML block, so you don’t have to build the model from scratch for a typical GA dataset.

This section will explore two Looker Marketplace applications that can provide helpful tools for your Looker environment to promote content discovery and code organization.

Getting ready

The Marketplace is not available in the free trial by default; you need to activate it. To do that in Looker, go to the Admin section. In the Platform drop-down list, click on Marketplace and then on I agree to Marketplace Terms and Conditions.
