Support Plans
When you create a new AWS account, you’re required to select a support plan. Depending on the kinds of projects you plan to run with your account, the $15,000/month and up that you’ll pay for the Enterprise Support plan might feel a bit excessive, so the free Basic Support plan is always an option while you’re getting started. But you should understand how each plan works and, more importantly, when it’s time to change to something more appropriate.
Support Plan Pricing
We’ll dive deeply into what you get from each plan later, but first, let’s see what they cost per month. Table 3.1 shows how the price you’ll pay for support will depend on the amount your account is billed for AWS resource usage in a given month.
