Implementing VNets in Azure
This section will look at implementing and managing Azure VNets. We will cover VNet peering, VNet routing, implementing IP addressing, and the Extended Network for Azure.
The first skills area we will look at in this section is VNets in Azure and how they work.
Azure VNets
An Azure VNet is a software-defined representation of a Local Area Network (LAN) that you would have on-premises.
A VNet provides communication paths between resources through network interfaces. When resources in on-premises locations communicate with resources in Azure, this can be referred to as hybrid connectivity or cross-premises connectivity.
A VNet provides a private and isolated single-tenant network for your resources to communicate in. You can define private IP address spaces and segment them into subnets as you would for on-premises.
