Creating a Group Policy Object (GPO)

This recipe shows you how to create a Group Policy Object (GPO).

Getting ready

To create a GPO, log into a system with the Group Policy Management Console installed with an account that is either of the following:

• A member of the Domain Admins group
• Delegated to create GPOs

To use a Starter GPO or to link a GPO to an OU, additional permissions are needed besides the permission to create GPOs.
