Accessing your recent notes quickly
You can always find out what you worked on last with the Recent Notes feature that's available in OneNote.
The Recent Notes feature is updated with any notes that you edit.
Editing includes doing the following:
- Formatting of any kind, such as bold, highlighting, and using bullets
- Adding text or titles
- Changing text, objects, or anything in any container within a page
- Deleting anything from a page
If you click on a page, it will not be considered one of your Recent Notes:

Depending on your device, the Recent Notes area can be found by clicking on the clock icon, as shown by the arrow in the preceding screenshot. On your tablet or smartphone, the Recent Notes area can be found at the top of the Notebooks listing.
