Scheduling Host Profile Compliance Checks

We can create scheduled tasks to periodically run Host Profile compliance checks on the attached hosts. This is an effective method to ensure that the hosts remain compliant to the configuration standards of the infrastructure.

Compliance checks can only be scheduled to run on ESXi hosts that are attached to the Host Profile. For instructions on how to attach hosts to a profile, read the Associating Host Profiles with ESXi hosts or clusters recipe.

How to do it...

The following steps will help you to schedule compliance checks on hosts attached to a Host Profile:

Connect to vCenter Server using the HTML5 client.
Navigate to Menu | Policies and Profiles.
