Registering a domain name with Route 53

In this recipe, we will register a domain name for our Serverless application with the Amazon Route 53 service. Domain registration is usually a one-time activity, and hence, it is usually done from the AWS Management Console. You can also perform domain registration with AWS APIs. Currently, CloudFormation does not support domain registration; however, it does support a limited set of operations for domains that are already registered.

Now, we will look at how to register domains through the AWS Management Console and AWS CLI API commands.
