B2C Commerce quotas and governance
B2C Commerce, like the Salesforce Platform, is a shared architecture hosting multiple customers. Like the Salesforce Platform, B2C Commerce also has specific limitations enforced to prevent one customer from monopolizing shared resources or destabilizing the system. Understanding and respecting platform governance also helps ensure the overall solution is performant and scales well under load.
There are three levels of severity of B2C Commerce quotas:
- Enforced: The B2C Commerce platform will throw an exception if quotas of this type are violated, preventing the operation from completing and likely causing errors in the implementation. Violations of this severity must be addressed immediately.
- Not Enforced: These quotas trigger a warning and may be enforced in the future; they can have serious impacts on the performance and stability of the storefront but won't cause immediate failures. Violations of this severity should be addressed...
