Summary
This chapter explored the world of purist GitOps. The DevOps team, in our analogy, learned that adhering to the core essentials of GitOps, especially with the new support requirements, would offer the same desired outcome. Additionally, this chapter showed that the desired end goal of GitOps is to make a process repeatable, reliable, and scalable.
The next chapter will explore a third GitOps practice known as verified GitOps. This practice is the idea of leveraging GitOps practices across the entirety of the delivery pipeline, both in terms of execution and integration.
