Deleting steps using the path lane

Creating a Prezi is a creative process. As in any creative process, we will sometimes need to edit our design ideas, remove material, or delete steps.

In this recipe, we remove steps from the path by using features in the path lane.

Getting ready

This recipe shows you how easy it is to delete a single step with just a click. Perform the following steps on your prezi:

1. Open a prezi that has multiple elements on the canvas as well as a path.
2. Click on Edit Path to switch to path mode.

Now the path lane is visible on the left side of your screen.

How to do it…

To delete a step in the path lane, here is what you do:

1. In the path lane, locate the thumbnail for the step that you want to delete.
2. Using your mouse, hover over the thumbnail for this step.
3. Notice the red circle that appears in the top-right corner.
4. Clicking on the red circle removes the thumbnail and deletes this step.
