Summary
Throughout this chapter, we’ve worked through why and how to set an initial baseline scope that will guide our future design efforts. Ultimately, to begin setting our design, we still need to validate this scope. The refinement and validation will come as we work through requirements and other tools in the next chapter and will then be further honed down the line as we add specificity and build our plan.
The next step of the process, which we will cover in the next chapter, will be to add the tools that we need to our toolbox that we will use as we create and document our design. We will examine the analytical tools, information-gathering tools, and other validation methods that we will use as we do so. This will allow us to rapidly construct the design and move quickly into execution.
